Why Participate?
In organizing this event, we have made it our mission to support health equity on the local scale with broader implications in mind. By participating in this event, your registration fee will go toward supporting the free family health clinic SAY Detroit in Highland Park, MI. This clinic is centered around the provision of high-quality examinations, maintenance and preventive healthcare for adults in the metro-Detroit area, regardless of their ability to pay. A bit about SAY Detroit:
"Originally launched in December of 2008 by SAY Detroit as the nation’s first free medical clinic devoted to homeless children and their mothers, the clinic responded to community needs by shifting reach to adult patients with limited income; for those who qualify, we provide services free of charge for uninsured or underinsured patients."
